We have been watching the Olympics as a lot of other people have as well, obviously. Sweden didn't do so well, only a few silvers and a bronze medal that he didn't want to keep. Swimsuits busted, hurdles got stumbled into, lots of 4th place finishes. Maybe Sweden will do better in 2012. US women's soccer team that won gold has a coach from Sweden, that is as close to gold we got this time...
The boys have been inspired by all the swimming and running. Sam kept saying "I am the US" as he was dog paddling around the pool the other day. He won every lap.
School is back in session and Jake has started 1st grade. He gets to ride the bus to and from school. We let him ride it to school and John still picks him up after school. I am pretty convinced that Jake thinks the best thing about 1st grade so far is riding the bus.
Mon is working and right now it is crazier than ever. The assistant team is about two people short and they are in the process of finding people to fill those positions. Mon can't wait until they do, maybe work will be more manageable some days.
John is doing a lot of writing and he is in limbo on what to do this fall. Jobs are hard to come by in the nearby area and he is tired of Swedish for Immigrants. Can't take any more grammar.
