A couple days before leaving Sweden Jakob drew this shield, obvious American colors, and he sounded out the words cowboy and yeeha. They had had a hat parade at school and mormor let him wear Rolf and Joel's old cowboy hats. Jake got to carry the American banner. Other countries were represented also.

Back into 7 suitcases, carryons and a guitar. And they all fit into Rolf & Rosi's car. Neighbor's wild cherry tree is in bloom behind us.

One last picture with mormor.

For whatever reason there were several Swedish military ships in Stockholm harbor on the way to the airport. I was working in the yard the day before and heard some military training out in the water. Sure enough, I recognized some of the boats.

One thing that was cool was that cousin Daniel & Rolf arranged a rendezvous on the way to the airport to say good-bye to the boys.

Daniel is a police officer in Stockholm and happen to be in the part of town we were cutting through to get to the airport. The boys got to see the inside of their vehicle.

That was a great send off.

We usually take a picture like this because it is a relief to finally be on the plane with all our junk. In reality it's also a really expensive picture to take. Seemed an appropriate last picture on Swedish soil.
