I've noticed at the pump in Sweden lately that the cost of gas has been dropping, following international trends. It's 10.24 sek (Swedish kronor) a liter at our local station where gas tends to be in the higher range vs. being cheaper a little closer to town. There are 3.79 liters in a gallon at a cost of 38.8 sek. At today's rate that is a bargain price at merely $4.90 a gallon. Woohoo! Good thing we don't have to use our car a lot.
Of course the kronor is falling which is not good, especially if you're converting money to a stronger currency. Right now there's a lot of second guessing when Sweden turned down accepting the euro a couple years ago. The people voted on it. It will be interesting to see what happens the next couple years with it, especially if the recession draws out.
