Friday we had a pretty busy day planned. Boys had school in the morning but in the afternoon we went to an English speaking play group in Stockholm, then met Mommy after she got off work for ice skating at
Kungsträdgården (The King's tree garden). It's a classic European plaza that is great for public events.
I know this is not the best picture quality but I wanted to give an idea of the darkness we have in Stockholm right now. The rotating clock in the background says 4:35 p.m. (or 16:35)
These guys were pretty happy waiting for Mommy.
It was fun skating and a typical ice rink. Imagine this picture in motion. You had people who were down on the ice, guys who were going fast in and out of people and everybody in between. Many foreigners there last night, including us. East Asia was well represented as well as the Middle East and Canada. We ran into a group of Canadian exchange students up from Milan where they are going to school.
One of the exchange students snapped our picture for us. We forgot to get our ice skates in the picture. The boys were done after about 4 laps but for the first time out this winter they did great. With a public ice rink in town as well as a closer one in Gustavsberg, we should get some more practice this winter.
