There are about a gazillion lupines at mormor's house. The deer population used to be a lot larger a few years ago on the island which made it hard to keep any plants that they happend to like. Deer do not eat lupines so they (the lupines) have uninterrupted had the chance and room to spread out all over the place. It is very pretty, a sea of pinks and purples.
It has been warm here (read 72-78F and low humidity; very nice) so they are blooming a little early. Before summer is over they will bloom again.
