We celebrate Midsommar every year which is the first weekend after the summer solstice. For the Swedes, it is the start of summer and the vacation season. Nice 4-6 weeks off work! That is worth celebrating. In the community that live here or have their summer homes here, everyone gathers in the morning to decorate the maypole. Then people go home to eat lunch and then come back in the afternoon for dancing and games.
