back home in Sweden

This post is out of order but the quick of it is that we are back in Sweden finally. We were scheduled to leave on Tuesday but at the gate in Cincinnati the time for our initial flight to Atlanta kept changing with little explanation. Finally it was cancelled all together. Needless to say we weren't very happy with Delta. We did make a late flight for Atlanta but not in time for our connection to Stockholm. We were given vouchers for meals and a hotel room that night and made the best of it. Our heads hit the pillow at midnight. The next day with a day to kill in Atlanta before our evening flight to Stockholm we took in the Georgia Aquarium, biggest aquarium in the world 'under one roof'. That's a later post.

When we finally boarded the plane for Stockholm we were given passes that were scattered throughout the plane - a nightmare scenario for parents with little kids on an international flight. When we did go to our seats we found they were already filled with other people with legitimate tickets. Just as our hearts started to sink again the flight attendant said 'can you come with me?' and started leading us up to the front of the plane. Turns out they gave us seats in business class and gave us the royal treatment for the long haul to Stockholm. Boys never traveled better on an international flight.

Although we never got a good explanation of what happened, yeah, I can see it in my heart to forgive Delta. Since we are on vacation basically til August we didn't have to hurry to get back anyway. I don't know if we will get the chance to travel first class again but it sure was fun getting pampered while it lasted.
