Cu-cu-ca-choo. My friend Paul McC. was a college roommate and is stationed in Germany with the Army Band. He plays the Baldwin, not the M-16. Before we moved we told Paul if you get the chance you should come up to Sweden. Well here he is. Travel within Europe is really cheap.

Old town is in the background above. This is a picture of the Vasa, a 17th century Swedish ship that had sunk and was pulled up from Stockholm harbor in the 1960's.

It was in amazing shape but parts were reconstructed to it's original look.

Paul and I spent the day in town checking out Old Town, the Royal Palace, Stockholm City Hall and the Vasa Museum. Phew, it didn't feel like we even got started looking at Stockholm and we were worn out by the end of the day. This was a good test for future visitors.
