My friend Paul, a former college roommate, visited us in April. He's currently stationed with the U.S. Army Band in Germany, a short jump from here. On a clean up day when we first got here last June, Rolf found an old accordion up in the attic at mormors. It needed a little work and did not have much value. After it sat for a year we asked mormor if we could pass it on to Paul who expressed a great deal of interest. He was more than happy to figure out how to play it as his main instrument is keyboard. That was in April of this year. A couple months ago Paul sent this picture of members of the U.S. Army Band playing on the streets of a town in France on a good will mission. On the far right is Paul with the old accordion. Who would have known?
